Exploring Her Passion

Emma is graduating the eighth grade this year and she is full of passion for bouldering, mountain climbing and taking in the outdoors. I just love a girl who loves to be outside!

When she told me she wanted to take some pictures of her at her happy place, I had no idea it would require me scaling new heights.LOL!! Anything to capture this young beauty, am I not right!

Little did I know how much I would learn about bouldering on this adventure. Bouldering is basically rock climbing stripped down to its raw essentials. Leaving behind ropes and harnesses and just climbing shoes and a bag of chalk over safety mats, your challenge is to climb short but tricky bouldering “problems” using balance, technique, strength, and your brain.

Well I can tell you that this young woman does all of that very well. She is learning some amazing life skills with this passion of hers, that is for sure.

I find it amazing that while we are all going through these crazy times right now and have all been stripped to our essentials, we are learning to overcome problems and challenges with our brain and some strength and well this trip reminded me of all of that!
